I graduated from Dixie State College in St. George, Utah in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I teach 5th grade at Excelsior Academy in Erda, Utah. Excelsior Academy is a charter school. You can read the public version of the charter application by clicking here. The Comprehensive Program of Instruction is the most fascinating part of the document and begins on page 73. I was drawn to Excelsior, because I was impressed with the vision of the school.
I created this blog to reflect on my first year of teaching. I hope to gain much from this reflection and hope to possible help someone else out there as well. Whether this blog gets read or not, it will be a great way for me to process my thoughts and improve myself in my profession.
